The kids and I have found yoga to be a great way to have fun together. I was so excited when I was told about this book, Rachel’s Day in the Garden, by Giselle Shardlow. Rachel’s Garden goes over yoga fundamental moments while telling a story about Rachel. It’s so great to walk yoga basics with my kids. And they love the pictures!
As summer throws unexpected heat or rainy weather our way here in Wisconsin, I plan to do more yoga with the kids to keep them active and reduce cabin fever. I’ve also found that yoga is a great way to help my kids relax, unwind and calm down. It helps them sleep better and is a great way for us to interact. I found out some other benefits such as how great yoga is for my kids’ flexibility, and resources about yoga and kids from kidsyogastories.com. If you are interested in buying this book for yourself, you can find it here.
What ways are you planning to spend extra time with your kids this summer?
