A mom is a caring person, with multiple hands, a great memory of where the Kleenex and everything else is located in the house and of course, the chef who makes the food (these are all generalizations of course).

My family and I welcomed our son into the world and our family a week ago. The last time we had a brand new baby join us two years ago, I was not running my business the way I am now. That means that I had no clients and was only working on work for myself. I had a little less to think about as far as business and mom life at the same time.
This time around that is not the case. I have amazing clients who I love working with, as well as my own team and business to manage. Adding another little one into the mix has been a little more complicated than I thought it would be or a little more intense than I thought previously. I guess a house full of sick people who are throwing up does not help either. I am blessed to have a great husband who helps out with the kids and the house, the breastfeeding is fully reliant on me. Because I do not need one more thing to think about, and sometimes I even need an extra helping hand, I was so glad to try out a NursElet! This velcro sealing nursing bracelet is a great invention that gives moms like me an extra hand. The bracelet allows you to keep track of which side you have nursed on by having it on your wrist and while you are nursing, it secures your shirt up so you have free hands.
Having an extra hand can be so helpful when, as I wrote above, you are required to be all the things. On top of being all the things around the house like most moms, there is also the business aspect of my mom life. I do not know about you, but at the end of most of my days, my brain is full and I can barely remember to brush my teeth. But let’s be honest, do you really want to remember everything? Probably not. Which is why I think the NursElet is great. We need to allow things that help us be powerful tools in our lives.
Instead of being someone who does it all themselves, give yourself the freedom to accept help from tools or other people. This lesson is something I have been learning for the last 10 years. I was on crutches from a knee injury and trying to do it all myself. Someone asked why I would not accept help. Well, I was afraid of looking weak. As a mom and business owner, I think one of the strongest things you can do is ask for help. It means you are secure in your identity and that is a wonderful place to be. I want to be confident in myself and be okay with the fact that I cannot do it all myself, in fact, I do not want to do it all myself. That’s what I want my mom life and business to look like.
Maybe right now you are past the point where you need a tool like NursElet, but there are other tools (or people) that you can allow into your life that will make a difference. What are you going to use in the new year to make a difference in your mom life and business?

i used a bobby pin (which was super painful and easy to forget) when i nursed aj and I remember thinking how lovely it would be if something like this existed. because really, you’re so tired there’s no way you can remember which one. i love that it also serves the double purpose of holding up your shirt. thanks for sharing danielle!
